Muscle Energy Techniques

Muscle Energy Techniques use the muscles own energy during a gentle isometric contraction to relax and lengthen the muscle. MET's differ from static stretches as the patient is an active participant.

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is a tight area within a muscle which causes pain in other parts of the body. Trigger point therapy helps to release these areas and relief pain using pressure and release.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues such as strains and sports injuries. Slow, deep strokes using a sustained pressure are used to target inner layers of muscle and connective tissues. It can help break up scar tissue after injury and reduce tension in muscle and other tissue.

Myofascial Massage

Myofascia is the connective tissue (also known as fascia) which surrounds all muscles, organs and other structures in the body. Restrictions in the fascia can cause pain and bad posture. Myofascial massage is used to reduce tension, adhesions and restrictions in the fascia to restore balance and function.

Positional Release

In positional release, the affected tissues are placed in a position of comfort. The neurological system is then manipulated to interrupt the pain cycle and 'reset' the resting length of the tissue.

Soft Tissue Release

Soft Tissue Release is a technique used to stretch muscle, tendon and fascia. Precise pressure is applied to an area which is then moved to achieve a specific stretch.

Postural Assessment and Treatment

Posture is a persons position when standing, sitting, lying down etc. When posture is correct, it allows weight to be evenly distributed across the body, allowing effortless and pain-free movement. We will assess your posture, and if necessary, correct any areas of concern.
