Understanding sciatica

Sciatica: easing the path from pain to relief

Sciatica, a common cause of leg pain, is characterised by discomfort radiating along the sciatic nerve, a long, thick nerve which extends from the lower back, running through the muscles of the buttocks and down the thigh, before dividing into two by the knee.

Sciatica can often be a persistent condition, affecting sufferers ability to work or enjoy their lives.

Medical solutions often include pain management and physical therapy, but progress can often be slow and the fear of re-occurrence can be worrying.

Stretching Exercises

While some find relief through stretching, it's important to be cautious to avoid exacerbating the pain.

Heat Therapy

A common suggestion is using heat pads, which can offer temporary comfort but don't address the root cause.

Pain Medications

Over-the-counter pain relief is often recommended, but it's more of a band-aid solution than a cure.

When stretches and heat pads fall short, it's time to consult a professional.

In my soft tissue therapy treatment clinic near Mildenhall, Newmarket and Bury Saint Edmunds, I specialise in treatments that go beyond temporary fixes, offering targeted therapies like massage and RAPID NeuroFascial Reset.

These techniques can provide lasting relief from sciatica, helping you to move freely and live comfortably again.

I know it's difficult to know who to trust.
So here's what my clients say about me.

I had contacted Melody because I had neck pain then had appointment, we discuss all details where my necks have started hurt.. then she gave my neck a deep muscle massage and in end it was worth and my neck isn’t in pain anymore!

Highly recommending Melody!
